Employment Consequences of An Atlanta DUI

If you have been arrested for driving under the influence, one of the main concerns you might have is how this arrest could affect your job. There is no uniform answer to this question. Some professions, especially those that require an employee to drive as part of duties, can have very strict rules regarding DUI arrests and convictions. But for many other employees, there is no need to inform your employer of a DUI arrest. What about college or grad school? Could a DUI conviction mean that you lose a scholarship or can't be admitted to a profession that requires an ethics exam? I have provided some articles to answer common job-related DUI questions. However, these are only meant to serve as general guidelines. Just as every criminal case will be different, the effects of a DUI arrest and/or conviction will not be the same for everyone. If you are facing DUI charges and are unsure of how your job will be affected, please give me a call. I am here to assist you not only with your legal defense strategy, but also in developing a strategy for how you can deal with all the implications a DUI arrest could have on your life.
